Digital Park by QR Code
(Manchester Evening News Business Section article 17th June 2008)

Property developers Frogmore are using Quick Response technology on their signage at Digital Park, Salford Quays to attract high-tech media executives.

Manchester agency Fifth Level Design incorporated this state-of-the-art technology into the signage for the scheme near Media City with digital technology and new media on their mind. Scanning the 'Quick Response Code' on the signage with your phone directs you to the Digital Park mobile website - instantly, without having to key in the domain name. The micro-site has all the information, maps and pictures of a normal website, but can be accessed from anywhere... in the palm of your hand.

Creative Director Dave Spence MCSD explained, "The code is unique and can appear on anything from business cards to T-shirts - it's just like a bar code on packaging, but this technology is set to revolutionize the way we use mobile phones. In a few years these codes will be everywhere. Fifth Level Design generate QR codes and design mobile websites for any purpose, product or service."

Mark Canning Director of Canning O'Neill added, "With Media City nearby, Digital Park is an ideal location for Creative/New Media Companies wishing to work alongside the BBC - Fifth Level mobile websites are an innovative way to access information and QR codes have great potential".

Digital Park is due for completion Summer 2008. Visit www.digitalpark.mobi
